EDUCATION:

I am a Trinity Senior High School graduate. I have three degrees: Western Carolina University, BSW; Barry College, MSW; and UNCG, MEd.

EXPERIENCE:

My work experiences are varied. In the field of Social Work, I have worked for the Florida Dept. of Corrections, the State of Florida Elderly Services, and in a Florida hospital setting. After returning to NC, I have worked in the education field for 25+ years as a substitute teacher, daycare instructor, and as a elementary and middle school classroom teacher. I have taught primarily ELA, Science and Social Studies at Braxton Craven before beginning this year at TMS.

BIOGRAPHY:

I have three adult children and served as a parent coach for several sports during their early years. I have also served my community through the THS Athletic Booster Club, Archdale United Methodist Church and various local organizations. I enjoy spending time with friends and watching the youth of the community develop into young adults with passions for life. I hold my students to high expectations with regards to becoming independent thinkers!
