EXPERIENCE:

The 2022-2023 school year is my eleventh year of teaching. I am thrilled to be working at Trinity Middle School and be apart of the group of teachers, staff, and students that get to continue the traditions that started in 2021 when the school opened! This year, I will be teaching Eighth Grade Science and Social Studies. I am also certified to teach any High School Science course and K-12 Gifted Education. Prior to this school year, I taught at Eighth Grade Science and Social Studies at Archdale-Trinity Middle School for nine years and I taught Biology, Honors Biology, and Honors Anatomy and Physiology at Wheatmore High School for a semester prior to starting at ATMS. I am also the Advisor of the National Award Winning ATMS Yearbook, "The Growler" and the Co-Faculty Advisor of Student Council.

BIOGRAPHY:

My name is Cory Bentley and I am excited to be your student's Eighth Grade Science (and possibly Social Studies) teacher this year. I am a Trinity native and graduate of Trinity High School. I attended college at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro for both my Undergraduate degree and Master's degree. I have been happily married to my beautiful wife for nine years and we live in Archdale with a sweet and energetic seven-year old, Ellis, an adorable, sweet four-year old, Allie-Cate, and our super smart dog, Bella. I am very excited to be a member of TEAM VIKING along side Mrs. Melissa Berrier (English/Language Arts & Social Studies) and Mrs. Christy Blakely (Math & Social Studies) as they are both amazingly great educators.
