Trinity Middle School
Every year, the 6th-grade teachers at Trinity Middle School invite their incoming students to a special orientation session to help them transition more easily to the new school. This year, it was held on Friday, Aug. 15. There were two sessions available for parents and students to attend: a morning session and an evening session. Teachers presented information about entering middle school with resources and strategies for parents and students. Parents were able to sign up for Class Dojo and fill out beginning-of-year paperwork.
To get students excited about the upcoming school year, teachers spent time with them in team-building activities and question-and-answer sessions on what to expect when school starts. Students were allowed to walk their schedules and tour the building. Former 6th-grade students were the tour guides for the event.
Also during this event, parents and students were treated to mini doughnuts with multiple toppings, as well as a photo background for all those beginning-of-year pictures. We had a great time and were able to meet with a majority of our parents before the school year started. We are excited about this upcoming school year and our new students!!!
