STAR³ students are "Respectful, Responsible, and Doing the Right Thing."

Students are nominated by school staff for being role models in compassion, drive, determination, courage, and character.  They make positive accomplishments both inside and outside of school.  Despite obstacles, they receive passing grades and are on track to move to the next grade level or graduate.  These students also have good attendance, overcome struggles in life, and are leaders in the school when it comes to behavior, involvement, and academic effort.

The Board of Education recognizes these students and their accomplishments at designated board meetings throughout the year.  Each school recognizes three students per school year as STAR³ Students.
